The clients had heard about Mike and when they returned from living overseas with the idea of building a new home, they were keen to seek him out. They had very clear thoughts on what they wanted, which was a replica of a house they had seen in Australia. They showed pictures to Mike’s friend Peter Davies, at AD Architecture, who accordingly drew up the plans. Naturally the house needed to be built to suit NZ conditions, whilst keeping the look and feel of what had attracted them to the Australian property.
The result is a home the clients can enjoy throughout their retirement, featuring an internal lift to enable them to stay in their 2 storey home, overlooking the timeless beauty of Waimanu Lagoon. Mike used an open book pricing approach to be transparent about the costs throughout the project.
So pleased are they with the home Mike created that other family members are now talking to Mike about building their own house locally.
