Chris has been able to weave his passion for environmental interests into his building work. A great example of this is the environmentally sensitive house Chris designed and built in Waikanae. Working through an architectural designer, Chris constructed a house that utilised much of the available technology at the time, resulting in a beautifully warm home, affordable to live in, and comfortable year round. It is readily recognisable on the Waikanae home landscape. This is testament to Chris wanting to stay at the forefront of building technology, whilst still building beautiful homes.
Further evidence of Chris’ sustainable credentials are provided by him building the first ever Digital Self Heating Home in New Zealand.
In particular Chris has enjoyed working on homes that have some interesting build or design elements. An example of this is a stunning beach bach renovation in Waikanae.
Chris has worked with a number of well-known and respected architects on award winning designs including Parsonson Architect, Crosson Architect, LOCA, Wiredog Architecture, ASA, HMA, Wright & Gray and numerous architectural designers to produce some outstanding local homes and renovations. Chris is renowned for his personal approach, sensitivity for the environment, and through building a loyal and dedicated team.
